Caverns Discovery Tour  with Life is Hard Cider
November 21: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us on the first-ever Shenandoah Caverns Discovery Tour! You'll step back in time to when The Southern Railway line was being built through Shenandoah County.

Farmer Abraham Neff agreed to let the railway quarry limestone from his property right beside the railroad, this property is now known as Shenandoah Caverns.

One Sunday, while the workers were away, Abraham’s sons were playing in the quarry when they felt cool air rising from a hole in the ground. They ran home to collect ropes and candles and scrambled down a 275-foot twisting and winding shaft.

At the bottom, they discovered a huge, dark room, full of stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstone. This is where your tour will begin.

Guests will follow one of Abraham Neff's sons through the caverns by lantern and candlelight. Listen to the spectacular story of two boys discovering one of the most magical natural wonders of Virginia and the rich history we now know about Shenandoah Caverns.

Four varieties of Life is Hard Cider will be accompanied by heavy hors d'oeuvres prepared by Chef Joseph Del Puppo.

Tickets are limited to 20 people per tour, masks are required unless eating or drinking.

Event Location: Shenandoah Caverns - 261 Caverns Rd, Quicksburg, VA 22847
